To enable logging and aid in understanding what operations are doing, set the Logging property under Configuration to true/checked (See the Configuration section for more information). This will write *.txt files into the index directory during all operations. These files can be viewed directly or via the log file viewers in the Index Manager Tool or the Web based Administration Tool.
Please note that logging does slow operations down and is recommended when performance is not critical.
