The Index Manager : Publish

The publish form provides a convenient way of copying the index directory over the file-system to another folder or by uploading it to a remote folder via FTP. A scheduled task can also be created to periodically update the index locally and then republish it.

Publish settings

Enter the local folder or FTP details where the index files should be copied to;

Select Publish Now to copy the index directory contents to the new location. It will minimize search interruption by toggling the search to the new index only when the content has been copied across.

A scheduled task can be created to periodically update the index locally and then republish it using the publish settings outlined above.

Additionally, an email log containing the results of the republish can be sent once the operation is complete. Enable the Send Email Log check box and complete your email server Smtp credentials. Please note that emails may go to your spam folder - add the 'from email' as a trusted sender in the email client.

To begin setting up the new task click Create Task and specify when the task should run and frequency of repetition;
