[We are using TextControl 20 SP1 and Keyoti.RapidSpell.NET2.TXSupportv20.dll 5.1.13.829]
When a user pastes the text "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\HTTP\Shell\Open\command" from the clipboard while As You Type is active or when the Check method is called RapidSpell hangs for a considerable amount of time.
RapidSpell does come back, but it can take several minutes.
This behaviour doesn't happen with all registry-like strings.

Hi Jim,
Language is German (NDE).
The property that seems to play a major role is IgnoreCapitalizedWords=True, but I fail to reproduce the behavior in a sample application, so there seem to be more factors to it.
(I'll post all properties on Monday.)

Hi Jim,
I'm sorry that I couldn't get back to you earlier, but I was ill -- and now I don't have the time to dig deeper into it.
Also I'm unable to reproduce it with a sample application.
I'll get back to you if I get any new information on this.
