can we open the spell check popup window in modal popup

I am facing issue of overwriting the text when multiple instance of spell check popup window is opened .To figure out this is it possible to open spell check popup as modal popup extender so that current instance is remains set to browser instance.

dialog_modal can be used with IE, it used to work with FF and Chrome but has been deprecated by those browsers and is expected to be deprecated from IE as well at some point.
