Dear Members,
I am using RapidSpell check webapp and i noticed am unable to verify the word "Thanks" as a right word and it is always showing as error.
While this is not a showstopper - i just want to know how to add this word in the dictionary of RapidSpell - Can someone help over this please. I referred quite a lot forums/google and no luck.

Is this a known issue already ?

Regards.
Jim

Hi, no that's not an issue that anyone else has reported nor is it reproducible here.

Are you using our default JAR dictionary, or are you explicitly setting the path to a .dict file?

If it's a .dict file, then you can add words using the Dict Manager tool (it's available in the product ZIP you downloaded - also see the Help section on dictionaries). But. I doubt that the problem is that the word isn't in the dictionary.

Perhaps you can try reproducing it in a basic page (eg using one of our demo pages, the demo app is in the product ZIP).

Posting as much useful code as possible, and also the actual text you're checking will help.

The only time "Thanks" would be expected to be underlined that I can think of, is when it's a duplicate, "Thanks Thanks", or if "thanks" starts a sentence.

Best
Jim

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry, the word "thanks" works fine as expected.

The problem is with the "thank" word is not recognized as a correct word irrespective of where it occurs in a sentence.

Is this a known issue ?
can someone help on this..

My previous reply applies to the word 'thank' as well, please follow that, but also you can try updating the dictionary JAR in case it helps.
File Attachment(s):
DictionaryJAR.zip (1,075kb) downloaded 0 time(s).
