SearchBoxOptions error loading IndexDirectory - SearchUnit - Forum

I have a search page that's working fine, with a SearchBox and a SearchResult control. The SearchResult has IndexDirectory="~/App_Data/IndexDirectory".

Now I've added a SearchBoxOptions control with the SearchBoxId set. When the page loads, I get error

Directory holding D:\web\site\IndexDirectory\configuration.xml does not exist and needs to be created first.

I don't see a way to set the IndexDirectory for the SearchBoxOptions.

You just need to set AutoGenerateFromIndexDirectory="~/App_Data/IndexDirectory" in SearchBoxOptions. It's not an obvious name, but it goes with a group of properties for autogeneration of options;

AutoGenerateContentCheckBoxes
AutoGenerateLocationAllOptionText
AutoGenerateLocationDropDown
