We cannot seem to get non-recurse folder settings to be honored. As an example, a site has a folder that should be excluded from search: wwwroot/data/admin/

When setting up an index source, under More Options, in the Non-Recurse dialog we enter "/admin/" but that folder is still indexed. We have also tried "/data/admin/" also to no avail.

Are there any thoughts as to what we're doing wrong in the setup, or anything that might be overriding the non-recurse settings? Thank you!

Hi, because this setting is in the Filesystem Store import parameters, it means the context is the Windows filesystem.

So, please use \admin\ instead of /admin/ because it's a file path, not a URL.
