Hi - please see this KB article;

How to use RapidSpell dialog in a JQuery (or DIV based) modal dialog (JS)?
http://keyoti.com/kb/Default.aspx?ToDo=view&questId=269&catId=57

dialog_modal can be used with IE, it used to work with FF and Chrome but has been deprecated by those browsers and is expected to be deprecated from IE as well at some point.

Regards,

Dan

Hi , I am using the modal popup is not responding well with IE 8, can you suggest the other way to freeze the parent window when spell check popup window is opened.

I want to have similar behavior as modal popup is doing for hiding the parent window or to gray out it when spell check popup window is opened , so that user can not play with parent window before completing spell check.

There are to methods, you can use, I don't know which you picked

rapidSpell.dialog_modal = true;

which as Dan said is not really future proof or current cross browser, but it should always work in IE8.

Or you can follow the KB article http://keyoti.com/kb/Def...ew&questId=269&catId=57

The KB article is more of a helping hand, so perhaps check if the JQuery modals work with IE8, or look for an alternative to modal framework to use that does work with IE8.

Best
Jim
