I am currently using trial version SearchUnit Pro.
I wanted to know the default search order provided by Keyoti

Can I change/customize the search order?

Hi Bharati,

Yes, there are lots of ways you can customize the search order. Can you let me know if you are using our JavaScript method of implementation or the Web Form controls?

Thanks,

Dan

Bharati,

The default sort order is by relevancy as determined by our weightings for title, URL and body content.

Here are the links to specific pages in the documentation covering sorting by date;

JavaScript method;
https://keyoti.com/produ.../CustomDataSorting.html

Web Controls;
https://keyoti.com/produ...ith%20Custom%20Data.htm

The full documentation can always be found here;

Thanks Dan,

The links are very much helpful.
I wanted to know more about default sorting. How the weightage get calculated for the same?

Following example can better explain my exact query.
I have three records in database, for which I have uploaded the same document on different date. The term which I am using for searching is the same in all documents and having same count of searched term. So which document in search result will be shown at what order.(I haven't applied any sorting logic for this).

This is the result I am getting.

Id Document Name Uploaded Date Count of Searched Term

101 ABC.docx Feb 18 2016 03:41PM 3
103 ABC.docx Feb 19 2016 12:09PM 3
102 ABC.docx Feb 22 2016 04:27AM 3

Kindly help.

For 3 documents with the same relevancy weighting (like in your example) the sort order should be considered random/indeterminate. In practice it would probably be the same order that the documents were added in, but you shouldn't rely on that.

Can you explain what you're trying to do, or want it to do?

I've moved your latest question to https://keyoti.com/suppo...aspx?g=posts&t=2263 as it is on a different subject.
